For tied tenants

You may be paying too much for your pub's buildings insurance.

If you're a tied tenant of a large pub company, the Pubs Code gives you the right to find a cheaper "suitable and comparable" quote for the premises insurance you're charged for. A 2024 survey by the Pubs Code Adjudicator found only 56% of tenants knew about it.

How it works

  1. 01

Get your pub company's policy details

Your pub company must send you the details of its premises insurance at least 21 days before renewal. If you haven't had them, ask.

  2. 02

    Send them to us

Request a quote and say you're a tied tenant in the additional information box, or call us. We'll look for a suitable and comparable policy.

  3. 03

Give the cheaper quote to your pub company

If ours is cheaper, your pub company must either buy that policy or agree you won't have to pay the difference.
